The Concept.

The idea behind AbbyAve is simple, to bring the world a better rental experience. As tech-savvy renters we've suffered through the frustrations of current product offerings and limitations, our goal is to provide an innovative product leveraging streamlined processes to 'heal' the current pain-points and much, much more.

Short Story.

Relocating to the SF Bay Area from Minnesota proved to be an eye-opening experience, for numerous reasons. Moving to a competitive rental housing market, particularly in a geography where multiple roommates can be required to maintain reasonable rent costs also brings new elements to the equation. Additionally work locations and school for three people all with distinct ideas of what 'local amenities' should include, along with different transportation requirements.

Now living in the Bay Area we know precisely the neighborhoods we'd like to live in and specifically what we're looking for, it's just a matter of sifting through the clutter across multiple sites in search of the find. After locating potential properties and distributing links to roommates along with Google maps and spreadsheets containing supplemental data as well as notes, email trails, etc. working to keep it all straight we eventually created a wiki which was the seedlings for AbbyAve. We've had it with archaic rental search tools and we know it can be a more enjoyable process; we've committed ourselves to doing just that.

Up, Up and Away.

This is just the beginning for AbbyAve, with our initial and current product in 'Alpha' release. We have an extensive product roadmap containing innovative features and product enhancements ahead, and are always interested in improving and evolving our existing product based upon user feedback.
